The Regional Government of Madeira will proceed with the construction of a false tunnel in Seixal, located between Ladeira da Vinha and João Delgado. This decision was approved yesterday by the Governing Council.
The project is a response to several landslides that have occurred in the area due to slope instability. The Porto Moniz municipal council and the local population have been demanding this project for several years.
The project will now go to public tender, with an expected cost of over 8 million euros.
