An accident involving a rental car has caused traffic disruption in the area near the head of Madeira International Airport, under the bridge.
According to available information, the vehicle crashed into oncoming traffic. An ambulance from the Santa Cruz Fire Department and a rescue vehicle were dispatched to the scene.
Traffic heading towards Santa Cruz is being diverted to the expressway.
