PSD MP Paulo Neves praised the Government's commitment to funding Madeira's future Central and University Hospital during a parliamentary debate attended by the Minister of Health.
Speaking during a discussion of the 2027 State Budget, Neves said the Government of the Republic will fund 50% of the third construction phase, contrasting this with what he called nine years of inertia under successive PS governments.
He also noted that three consortia are competing for the third phase and said the hospital would be "a centre of excellence", with a research focus benefiting the whole country.
