Rubina Leal, the first female president of the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, will be in Canada from July 25 to 29 for an institutional visit.
The objective is to strengthen relations between Madeira and its community in Canada. During the visit, Leal will participate in meetings with association leaders, community representatives, and Portuguese authorities.
A central event will be the official reception at Madeira Park on July 25, celebrating Emigrant Day and 'poncha', including the symbolic planting of a tree. The visit also includes meetings with other institutions and an exploration of the Madeiran community's reality in the country.
