The Santa Cruz Municipal Council has clarified that the instability recorded in the handrail installed in the Praia das Palmeiras pool is a result of incorrect use of the structure.
The local authority appeals for its proper use by visitors, explaining that the equipment was designed to assist with the entry and exit of people with reduced mobility, and should not be used as a slide or for diving.
This clarification follows the presentation of the first phase of renovations at Praia das Palmeiras, which included pool improvements and an investment of 473,000 euros. The Council assures that the structure will be reinforced but emphasizes that its use must continue to respect its intended purpose, urging the preservation of public facilities.
