The parish of Santana, in the municipality of Funchal, will celebrate its patron saint, Saint Anne, on the weekend of July 25th and 26th. The festivities include a varied program starting on Saturday with the traditional fireworks and performances by the Municipal Band of Santana.
Saint Anne's Day, July 26th, will be marked by a eucharist in honor of the patron saint, followed by a procession. The program also features the participation of the Folklore Group of Casa do Povo de Santana, and performances by various musicians and bands throughout the day and night.
