São Tiago Beach in Funchal hosted an afternoon of free activities for young people, organized by the City Council to mark International Youth Day. The program featured recreational, sports, extreme, and aquatic events, with a focus on the E-Sports Tent and sea-related activities.
The initiative aimed to provide opportunities for socializing and leisure, encouraging active and healthy lifestyles. Councillor Helena Leal emphasized the municipality's commitment to improving the quality of life for young people and promoting active citizenship, culture, sports, and leisure.
Celebrations also included an evening gathering with DJ Oxy and the chance to observe the partial solar eclipse.
