The Empresa de Electricidade da Madeira has announced planned power interruptions in several parts of Funchal while distribution network maintenance and renovation work takes place.
The cuts run from 5 to 11 November 2026, at different times and locations. São Roque is affected on 5 November from 09:00 to 10:30 along Caminho da Penteada. Santa Luzia faces interruptions on 5 and 6 November, mostly between 09:00 and 12:00. Sé has cuts on 7 and 8 November overnight, and on 10 November in streets including Rua Serpa Pinto and Praça do Infante. Santa Maria Maior is affected on 11 November from 09:00 to 12:00.
