The Seixal Natural Pools are participating in the 7 Wonders of Portugal competition, under the Tourism category. The entry is for the Madeira regional elimination round, taking place on July 18.
According to the Seixal Parish Council, this recognition highlights one of the parish's main landmarks, known for its natural beauty and unique landscape. Xavier Castro, the Council's president, stated that the candidacy "represents the recognition of the uniqueness of our natural pools and the heritage we proudly preserve."
The Council urges the community to mobilize, vote, and support the pools' advancement to the next stage. Voting can be done by calling 761 207 147 (cost of €1 + VAT per call). Each vote is considered essential to enhance the visibility of this natural site and establish Seixal among Portugal's wonders.
