The Health Service of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (SESARAM) has informed that visits to patients admitted to the Emergency Service of Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital have been resumed.
The decision follows a reassessment of the unit's clinical and operational situation, with visiting hours returning to their usual schedule: 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM and 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM. This measure is attributed to the improvement in care activities and reduced pressure on the service in recent days.
Visits had been temporarily suspended due to high occupancy rates, aiming to ensure patient safety and the normal functioning of the service. SESARAM thanked everyone for their understanding during the restriction period and assures continuous monitoring of the situation.
