Shop robbed in broad daylight in Caniço

A shop located in the Tamariz Building on Avelino Pinto Road in Caniço was targeted in a daylight robbery this morning.

According to the owner, the suspect, a man aged between 40 and 50, entered the store and took all the money from the cash register. The individual, described as wearing a blue polo shirt, dark shorts, flip-flops, and a beige cap, spoke with a foreign accent.

The victim explained that the robber pretended to buy a low-value item and paid with a 200 euro note, which required the cash register to be opened. While the money was being counted, the man initiated a conversation to distract the employee, managing to steal the cash and the 200 euro note before fleeing quickly.
