The Madeira branch of SINERGIA - The Energy Union has urged the Electricity Company of Madeira (EEM) to preserve its thermal power generation capacity.
The union argues that this capacity is vital for meeting demand when renewable sources like wind and solar are insufficient, particularly at night or during dry periods.
Furthermore, SINERGIA proposes a dual training model to address a perceived shortage of specialized labor, blending academic education with on-the-job training. The union also supports integrated management of the EEM Group to enhance operational efficiency.
