D. Lurdes Cavaco Carrilho, sister of D. António José Cavaco Carrilho, Bishop Emeritus of Funchal, has passed away.
The Diocese of Funchal has expressed sorrow over her death and joined in the grief of D. António Carrilho and his entire family.
The Diocese commended the deceased to God's mercy and invited the faithful to unite in prayer for the eternal rest of her soul, asking the Lord to welcome her into eternal life and grant Christian consolation and hope to her family and friends.
