The Madeira Delegation of the Portuguese Red Cross has announced a donation of 10,000 euros.
The funds are intended to support the Madeiran community affected by the strong earthquakes that struck central-northern Venezuela on June 24th. The tremors, with magnitudes of 7.1 and 7.5, caused thousands of victims and significant damage.
The institution recalls that the earthquakes caused extensive damage to residential and commercial buildings, structural collapses, and disruptions to power and telecommunications in several regions of the country.
