Six Families Receive Keys to New Social Housing in Campanário, Ribeira Brava

Six families from the municipality of Ribeira Brava were handed the keys to new social housing units today, located in Campanário.

The former Porto da Ribeira School building was rehabilitated to accommodate six apartments, comprising four T1 and two T2 units. The total investment amounted to approximately 960,000 euros, with 700,000 euros funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and the remainder covered by municipal funds.

The Mayor of Ribeira Brava, Jorge Santos, highlighted the project as a "better use" for the building, which now houses families facing economic and housing difficulties. The municipality's Local Housing Strategy plans for a total of 34 social housing units, six of which are now completed with this initiative.
