Six judokas from the Autonomous Region of Madeira have been promoted to 1st Dan Black Belt following annual association exams.

The Judo Association of the Autonomous Region of Madeira held its annual grading examinations on July 5th, where six athletes successfully achieved the 1st Dan (Black Belt).

Candidates were evaluated by the Associative Grading Commission, comprising masters César Nicola (6th Dan), Eduardo Costa (4th Dan), and Paulo Freitas (3rd Dan). The commission expressed satisfaction with the technical quality demonstrated and the athletes' progress, a result of consistent work by regional clubs.

Additionally, the Madeira Judo Association was represented at the National Training Camp for Youths and Cadets – Talent Detection Program in Jamor, with eight judokas. Athlete Henrique Serpa also participated in the III National Training Camp, strengthening Madeira's presence in development initiatives for young talents.
