Weather forecasts predict the continuation of high temperatures in Madeira and Porto Santo, with maximums reaching 30ºC on the main island. The Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has issued a yellow alert for hot weather, effective until Saturday at 6 PM for both islands.

The hot weather warning for Madeira's mountainous regions will conclude on Friday at 6 PM. Today's maximum temperatures are forecast at 30ºC for Madeira and 29ºC for Porto Santo, with lows of 23ºC and 22ºC respectively. The Ultraviolet Index (UV) is very high, at 10 in Madeira and 9 in Porto Santo, advising extra caution during sun exposure.

The sky is expected to be mostly clear with some cloudy periods on Madeira's north coast and in Porto Santo, particularly in the morning and late afternoon. Winds will be light to moderate from the Northeast. Funchal anticipates mostly clear skies and light winds. North coast waves will be around 1 meter, and south coast waves less than 1 meter, with sea temperatures between 23ºC and 25ºC.
