The Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has issued a yellow warning for Madeira.
The warning is in effect for June 12th and anticipates hot weather with partly cloudy skies.
Maximum temperatures could reach high values, and caution is advised for prolonged sun exposure.
