Two earthquakes were recorded in the Madeira and Porto Santo region, according to the Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).
The tremors had magnitudes of 2.7 and 1.8 on the Richter scale and occurred at depths of 10 and 5 kilometers, respectively.
No material or personal damage has been reported as a result of the earthquakes.
