Two men were hospitalized in the early hours of Tuesday following an altercation that occurred outside the Dreams Madeira hotel in Caniçal.
The injured are a 30-year-old employee of the hotel and a 50-year-old customer. According to reports, the assaults occurred around 2 am when the employee attempted to assist a couple with a child. The customer allegedly reacted violently, assaulting the hotel worker.
The employee sustained injuries requiring hospitalization, while the alleged aggressor suffered abrasions and received on-site assistance. Police identified the suspect, noting the couple appeared to be intoxicated. Both injured individuals were treated by emergency services and transported to Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital in Funchal.
