Vandals have targeted the balconies at Montado da Esperança, in São Roque, prompting a reaction of indignation from the Parish Council.
In a statement, the Junta regrets the destruction of a public space, saying such behaviour reveals a lack of civility and respect for collective heritage.
The municipal body also appeals to residents to preserve and respect public spaces, stressing that their conservation is everyone's responsibility.
