This Wednesday morning saw a significant traffic jam on the Via Rápida, in the Machico - Ribeira Brava direction.
The traffic heading towards Funchal stretched for approximately 4.5 kilometers, with indications that the congestion might increase. This occurred in the early morning hours.
No other major traffic jams were reported, but usual critical points, such as the Santa Rita ascent, are expected to experience delays due to it being a workday and school day.
