VIII Porto Santo Line Regatta Returns in August

The VIII Porto Santo Line Regatta is set to return, connecting Madeira and Porto Santo from August 14 to 16. The competition will bring together cruise-class vessels, marking one of the most iconic events in the regional nautical calendar.

Organized by Clube Naval do Funchal and the Associação Regional de Vela da Madeira, in partnership with Porto Santo Line and supported by Clube Naval do Porto Santo and Brisa Maracujá, the event will feature two legs. The first leg departs from Santa Cruz on August 14, heading to Porto Santo. The second leg, returning to Madeira island, is scheduled to start on August 16 from Porto Santo Bay.

The competition is open to cruise vessels with a valid ORC certificate for 2026. A Promotion AB/ORC class will also be included for boats without a race certificate, aiming to encourage broader participation. ORC class vessels will be divided into three divisions (A, B, and C) based on their CDL rating. Registration is now open.
