PRODERAM 2020, the Rural Development Programme of the Autonomous Region of Madeira for the 2014-2020 period, was the main community instrument supporting agriculture, forestry, and the development of rural territories.
Primarily funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (FEADER), the programme aimed to strengthen the economic, social, and environmental sustainability of agriculture, modernize farms, encourage young farmers, support organic farming and forestry, and diversify the rural economy.
Support covered individual farmers, young farmers, agro-industrial companies, producer organizations, public entities, and local development associations, through measures and sub-measures applied via calls for proposals and applications.
