ENEREEM – Energias Renováveis, part of the EEM Group, has begun a logistics operation to transport large-sized components for the Loiral III and Paul wind farms in Paul da Serra. This operation is linked to a project to boost wind energy electricity production in Madeira.
The project includes installing two new wind turbines at the Loiral III Wind Farm, with a combined power of 7.6 MW, and re-equipping the Paul Wind Farm with a new 3.8 MW turbine. Older, end-of-life equipment will be replaced with more modern and efficient technology.
The work is expected to continue until the end of September and may cause occasional traffic disruptions. To minimize impact, transports will be carried out at night whenever possible. The Regional Secretariat for Equipment and Infrastructure requests understanding and compliance with temporary signage.
