The XXI European Folklore Week, promoted by the Boa Nova Folklore and Ethnographic Group, begins this Sunday, August 23rd, and runs until Thursday, August 27th. The event aims to foster intercultural exchange and showcase diverse ethnographic realities.
The program kicks off at 9:00 PM at the Funchal Municipal Garden Auditorium, featuring performances by national and international folklore groups. Participants include Slovakia's Podpol’anec – Detva, Croatia's Ogranak Seljačke Sloge Buševec – Turopolje, and Madeira's own Boa Nova Folklore and Ethnographic Group.
