The Autonomous Region of Madeira and the island of Porto Santo will be under a yellow alert issued by the Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) due to hot weather.
The alert will be in effect from 10 AM on Thursday, September 24, until 7 PM on Friday, September 25. This is due to the persistence of high maximum temperatures.
The affected areas include the North Coast, South Coast, and mountainous regions of Madeira island, as well as Porto Santo.
