The Portuguese Institute of Atmosphere and Sea (IPMA) has placed a yellow weather warning for the mountainous regions of Madeira.
The alert is due to expected hot weather and will be in effect from 03:00 tomorrow until 18:00 on August 1st.
The hot weather is expected to persist in the region.
