The Madeira Bus Company (CAM) began operating new 100% electric buses on the Aerobus line in October 2026.
These vehicles provide the connection between Madeira International Airport and Funchal. Of the eight electric buses acquired by CAM, five are assigned to the Aerobus service, with the remaining three for public transport in Porto Santo.
The total investment, including charging infrastructure, amounted to approximately 5.2 million euros, with financial support from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) totaling 2.7 million euros.
