A 53-year-old tourist passed away this Sunday at the Bica da Cana viewpoint, located in the parish of Canhas, Ponta do Sol.
The man was at the location with his wife when he began to feel unwell and subsequently collapsed.
Emergency services were called, and despite the efforts of the on-site teams, the death was confirmed. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
