ADN Madeira Demands Coordinated Response to Nursing Blockages in the Region

ADN Madeira has requested clarification and a coordinated response to issues affecting nursing in the region, including pending processes and nurses in reserve.

The ADN Madeira party has requested clarification and a coordinated response to the various obstacles that continue to affect the nursing profession in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. Among the issues raised are equivalence processes pending for about three months, approximately 80 nurses still in SESARAM's recruitment reserve, and about 200 specialists who, according to the Order of Nurses, perform differentiated functions without integration into their respective categories.

ADN Madeira argues that institutional differences between the Region, the Order of Nurses, and national entities should not result in a "blame game" for professionals. The party deems it necessary to publish an updated overview of nursing needs in the Region and to establish a coordination mechanism with defined deadlines to prevent professionals essential to the system from remaining blocked by administrative procedures.
