ADN Madeira has requested clarification and a coordinated response to the ongoing issues affecting nursing in the Region. The party highlighted equivalence processes pending for about three months, 80 nurses in SESARAM's recruitment reserve, and approximately 200 specialists performing duties without proper integration.
The ADN regrets the "blame game" and deems it essential to publish an updated overview of nursing needs, detailing the number of professionals per service, retirement forecasts, recruitment reserve status, specialists needing regularization, and the state of qualification recognition processes.
The party also calls for the Region, the Order of Nurses, and national entities to establish a coordination mechanism with defined deadlines to prevent necessary professionals from remaining blocked by administrative procedures. The focus should be on having the right professionals in the right services, with the correct category, when they are needed.
