The Migration Technicians Union (STM) has announced a 24-hour work stoppage scheduled for October 6th. This decision follows the lack of response to an urgent request for a meeting with the relevant authorities.
The union is demanding the creation of a specific technical career path and the allocation of a salary supplement comparable to that of the GNR and PSP. The STM argues these are structural needs to enhance migration technical functions and acknowledge their unique complexity.
The strike will be nationwide, affecting all AIMA employees regardless of their contract type or work location. The STM also highlighted insufficient human and technical resources and the urgent need for team reinforcement.
