The President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, emphasized the importance of freedom of choice in education during the inauguration ceremony for the remodeled 1st Cycle building of the Salesians School.

Albuquerque reiterated his executive's stance, stating that the state's role is to offer families choices, whether in public or private education, rather than imposing restrictive rules. He also highlighted the recent €39 million investment in association contracts with private institutions.

The president praised the ongoing work and trajectory of the Salesians School, calling it an "establishment of excellence." He extended congratulations to the teaching staff, employees, management, and the financial administration of the Salesian Foundation for their efforts in enhancing the school's quality.
