Ambulances will be running emergency routes more often on Wednesday and Thursday across four Madeira municipalities, as part of practical exercises in a training course.
According to the Regional Civil Protection Service (SRPC), emergency vehicles will travel on roads in Câmara de Lobos, Funchal, Santa Cruz and Machico with their sirens sounding. Residents may therefore notice more of these vehicles on public roads.
The exercises form part of a defensive ambulance driving course held at the Civil Protection Training Centre.
