André Ventura, national leader of the CHEGA party, declared that Madeira is facing an "epidemic of corruption" during an event in Câmara de Lobos. Ventura argued that public money should be used to improve essential services like housing and healthcare, and to reduce the tax burden on businesses. He also called for judicial accountability for those harming national interests, stating, "We don't want revenge, we want justice."
The CHEGA leader praised the party's regional structure in Madeira and Hugo Nunes's work, highlighting the majority achieved in São Vicente as an example of proximity politics. Ventura reiterated the party's commitment to focusing on the concrete problems of the population, aiming to build a political alternative and calling for unity among regional structures.
