The National Teachers Association (ANP) – Madeira Section has begun a new term with Luís Alves once again at the helm. The team for the 2026-2029 triennium includes new members with diverse professional backgrounds.
Luís Alves was re-elected with a single candidate list, viewing the result as a vote of confidence and an increased responsibility. The new team blends experience with fresh perspectives, aiming to renew the association to keep pace with educational transformation.
Priorities for the new term focus on enhancing the teaching profession, defending careers and rights, improving working conditions, and continuous training. ANP Madeira also plans to strengthen its presence in schools and deepen engagement with educational authorities, addressing topics like artificial intelligence and pedagogical innovation.
