The Administration of the Ports of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (APRAM, SA) is taking part in the "Ports and Innovation" forum in Barcelona, organised by the CTI Cities Today Institute in partnership with the Port of Barcelona.
The invitation-only event brings together around 30 representatives of international ports, including Hamburg, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Stockholm, Seattle, Los Angeles, Valencia, Algeciras and Leixões. Topics under discussion include artificial intelligence in port management, digital twins, mobility, connected ports, the energy transition and cyber-resilience.
According to the port authority, taking part allows it to deepen its knowledge of how onshore power supply (OPS) systems are implemented and managed elsewhere, while APRAM is developing its own projects. Miguel Branco, director of the Planning and Investment Department, and project coordinator Ricardo Quaresma are attending.
