Atlantic depression brings rain and wind to Azores and Madeira until 8 November

An Atlantic depression and successive weather fronts will shape conditions across the islands during the first week of November.

Until 8 November, weather in the Azores and Madeira will be shaped by a series of weather fronts and an extensive Atlantic depression, bringing spells of heavy rain and wind.

In the Azores, Monday 2 November is expected to bring persistent rain to Corvo and Flores. On Thursday 5 November, the heaviest rainfall of the week is forecast for São Miguel, with accumulations of 5 to 6 mm per hour, especially in Ribeira Grande and Ponta Delgada.

In Madeira, rain should be light and scattered, mainly on the west coast and the north-facing slopes. Thursday 5 November is expected to be dry, with maximum temperatures rising to 22 ºC in Funchal and 24 ºC in Calheta.
