Former PS-Madeira deputy and parliamentary leader, Bernardo Trindade, has paid a heartfelt tribute to Leonel Nunes.
Trindade shared several years in the Regional Legislative Assembly with Nunes before taking on the role of Secretary of State for Tourism. On social media, he wrote: “Comrade friend, a forever embrace,” recalling the “very special moments” they experienced together, both inside and outside parliament.
He described Leonel Nunes as “a good friend, loyal and interested.” The message, marked by longing, also included a remembrance of other deceased former colleagues, asking them to “watch over us.”
