The Municipality of Câmara de Lobos will celebrate World Grandparents' Day on July 24th with an initiative gathering 83 participants, including grandparents and grandchildren. The event will take place at the Chão dos Louros Leisure Area in São Vicente.
Although World Grandparents' Day is officially observed on July 26th, the municipality decided to advance the celebrations to foster a day of conviviality and sharing between generations. The initiative aims to provide moments of closeness and value the role of elders in passing down knowledge and values.
The program includes participants departing from meeting points in Câmara de Lobos and Estreito de Câmara de Lobos at 10:00 AM, heading to Ribeira Brava, with a return scheduled for 3:00 PM. The municipality intends, through this action, to honor the role of grandparents and the importance of family ties.
