The Funchal City Council, in partnership with the Regional Health Directorate, today presented the 'Safe Night, Guaranteed Fun' campaign. The initiative aims to raise awareness among the general population, and young people in particular, about the importance of having a responsible and healthy night out.
The campaign runs until the end of September and will distribute prevention messages in 18 high-traffic locations in Funchal. The Mayor of Funchal highlighted the importance of institutional partnerships and prevention, also warning about the dangers of consuming other substances and risky behaviors. The central message for young people is 'we go out together, we come back together'. The messages will be displayed on colorful structures in places such as the Old Town, the Madeira Casino, and the Lido Gardens.
