The parish of Caniço, in Madeira, will hold two important religious festivals from July 25 to 27: celebrations in honor of the Blessed Sacrament and the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The festivities, known for being well-attended, include masses, novenas, processions, and musical performances. On Saturday, July 25, the program begins at 5 PM with pilgrimages, followed by a novena and mass at 8 PM. The evening continues with a performance by Grupo Os Mariachi and a disco session led by Márcio Velosa.
On Sunday, July 26, the Solemnity of the Blessed Sacrament, the Eucharist and procession will take place at 4 PM. The day also features performances by Conjunto Banda Fixe, Grupo «Os Sons da Tradição», and fado music with César and Susana Abrantes.
The celebrations conclude on Monday, July 27, with the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, including mass and procession at 7:30 PM, followed by songs with Octávio Freitas and Isabel Nóbrega. The Banda Filarmónica do Caniço e Eiras will also perform throughout the three days.
