Cáritas Portuguesa, in partnership with Cáritas Diocesana do Funchal, is promoting a new edition of the National Food Collection Campaign on September 12th and 13th. The initiative, known as 'Campanha Saco' (Bag Campaign), will take place at Pingo Doce commercial surfaces in Madeira and Porto Santo.
The goal is to collect food items to support families in greater vulnerability in the Region. The campaign relies on the support of volunteers.
In last year's edition, 15,394 food items were collected, enabling support for hundreds of Madeiran families.
