Carlos Rodrigues Criticizes Luís Neves' Speech for Vanity and Lack of Elegance

Funchal Municipal Assembly Vice-President Carlos Rodrigues criticized Minister Luís Neves for a speech deemed vain and inelegant during an official ceremony.

The Vice-President of the Funchal Municipal Assembly (CMF), Carlos Rodrigues, expressed strong disapproval of a speech given by the Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves.

In a post on his personal Facebook page, Rodrigues described the moment as "embarrassing," accusing the minister of "self-praise," displaying "vanity," and engaging in "bickering" during the anniversary ceremony of the PSP Regional Command in Madeira.

According to Carlos Rodrigues, Luís Neves' speech represented an "elegy to the absurd," "gross inelegance," and a "total violation of the ethics and honor" expected at such events, causing him "vicarious embarrassment."
