The Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves, concluded his official visit to Madeira with considerable delays compared to the planned schedule.
His arrival at the Regional Command of the PSP in Funchal took place mid-afternoon, following a visit to the Câmara de Lobos Division that also ran over time. The primary reason for the delays was an extended solemn session commemorating the 148th anniversary of the Madeira Regional PSP Command in Câmara de Lobos, which lasted over two hours.
After being received with an honor guard and holding a meeting with PSP staff in Funchal, the minister was scheduled for a social dinner in Machico and a visit to the Airport Security and Border Control Division at the airport before returning to Lisbon.
