Carlos Silva Highlights Porto Santo's Concerns in Legislative Assembly

JPP deputy Carlos Silva addressed the Legislative Assembly of Madeira to present the main concerns of Porto Santo's population. Mobility, Health, and Environment were the central themes discussed.

Regarding mobility, Silva mentioned the "Montenegro mess" with reimbursements, the lack of direct winter air links, scarce maritime transport at the start of the year, and roadworks ongoing for over a year.

On health matters, he criticized the Local Health Unit for "dragging on from one electoral cycle to another," pointing to long waits for surgeries and appointments, the absence of a dentist since October, and a lack of physiotherapy.

Concerning the environment, the deputy warned of pests affecting trees and the "attack" on beach dunes, reiterating that the regional government's promises to solve these issues are old.
