A delegation from CDS-PP Câmara de Lobos, led by Lídio Aguiar, visited the site of the works on Estrada João Gonçalves Zarco and confirmed a complete stalemate.
One lane of the road has been closed for about two and a half years, despite promises of repair from previous administrations. The party emphasizes that the maintenance of this road is a municipal responsibility.
The CDS-PP notes that although the municipal executive had publicly assured the situation would be resolved and works would commence in July, there has been no progress by September. This halt severely impacts the daily lives of residents and workers, complicates access to Escola da Torre, and forces public transport onto smaller secondary roads.
The party intends to raise this issue at the next Municipal Assembly meeting to demand the fulfillment of commitments and a swift resolution.
