The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Angra do Heroísmo will be present at Expo Madeira 2026, taking place in Funchal from July 5th to 12th. The main objective is to strengthen economic, business, and tourism relations between the Azores and the island of Madeira.
A key focus of this participation will be promoting stronger tourism links between Terceira island and Madeira. The business organization highlighted the importance of the direct air route between the two destinations as a strategic factor for increasing tourist flows and resident mobility.
The Azorean presence is co-financed by the Azores 2030 Operational Program and is carried out in partnership with seven municipalities from four islands in the Central Group of the Azores.
