Chega (CH) MP Francisco Gomes accused the government of Luís Montenegro of "roundly failing" in its response to the housing crisis.
Gomes believes the executive has not managed to translate announced measures into rapid results for families, despite CH enabling some government proposals in this area. "It is the government that has failed the Portuguese people, continuing to respond without the effectiveness and urgency this crisis demands," he stated.
The parliamentarian argued that housing access difficulties now affect not only lower-income households but also young people and families, questioning the state's management of public real estate and its capacity to respond to the crisis.
